DO I HAVE TO POST MY TAPES?
Nope. That’s the whole point.
We'll arrange a time to collect your tapes and discs from your home in South East London. Once they’re converted, I'll bring them back to you.
No posting. No courier worries. No wondering where your family memories have ended up.

HOW DO I KNOW MY TAPES WON’T GET LOST?
You’ll receive a receipt listing everything you hand over, so you know exactly what I've received.
Your original tapes and discs stay in my care throughout the transfer process and are returned to you in person.

WHAT EXACTLY DOES COPYCAT MEDIA DO?
We take your old home videos and turn them into digital files you can watch on modern devices.
That means your VHS tapes, DVDs, and camcorder tapes can go from “I’ll sort those out one day” to family movie night.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A TAPE IS BLANK?
No footage? No charge.
If a tape or disc is blank, you won’t be charged. Simple.

I'll send you a secure link so you can watch your videos on your computer, tablet or phone.
Optional USB drive — £20
A physical USB drive containing your converted videos.
You’ll also get clear instructions and telephone support if you need help accessing your files.

Free collection and return is available within our local service area (Dulwich, Nunhead, Peckham, Forest Hill, Denmark Hill, Camberwell & Herne Hill).

You’ll receive detailed instructions, and telephone support is available if you need a hand.

WHO WILL BE HANDLING MY VIDEOS?
I’m Rob, based in Dulwich.
I’m a qualified software engineer with over 20 years of experience working in film and TV, including work for major broadcasters.
I’ll be using the same rigorous professional standards I use in my broadcast work to handle your home videos.

CAN I TRANSFER JUST ONE TAPE?
Yes. You can start with one tape or hand over a whole box.
There’s no need to sort everything out before you get in touch.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY TAPES AFTER I RECEIVE MY VIDEOS?
I’ll return your original tapes and discs to you in person. They never leave my care.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A TAPE IS DAMAGED?
Some old tapes and discs may be damaged or difficult to read.
If there’s a problem, I’ll let you know and discuss the options before carrying out any extra work.
